These new instruments answer the requests from users to have both a simpler instrument that gives all the overall noise levels and noise dose values as the regular CEL-350 while maintaining advantages of the small size and convenience of a badge style instrument.

The CEL-350 Lite measures the overall noise levels but does not store the 1 minute time history information that can be used to show the noise level variations during the measurement run. The CEL-350 Lite can always be upgraded to the regular CEL-350 dBadge by returning it to the service center in Amherst, NH where the firmware upgrade is performed.

The CEL-350 Lite is an ideal way to start off with the new badge style dosimeters while keeping the costs down compared to conventional noise dosimeters that still use cable microphones. Full kits with all the necessary accessories are available from 1 unit up to 12 dosimeters per kit.

To complement the need from some users to have the LC-LA noise level difference calculated in the instrument Casella USA have introduced the CEL-352 Plus dBadge dosimeter. It features all of the capabilities of the regular CEL-350 plus the additional calculation of the C weighted equivalent continuous noise level. This means that the difference between the C and A weighted overall noise levels can be seen in the LCD on the instrument at the end of the run plus this value is downloaded to the Insight software package for inclusion in the hard copy reports.

Both CEL-350 Lite and regular CEL-350 dBadge dosimeters can be upgraded to the new CEL-352 Plus version satisfying the needs of new and existing customers. Again, this is done either at the point of sale for new orders or by returning the existing noise dosimeter to the service center in Amherst, NH.
