| Casella USA announce the latest release of version 2.04 for
the database software package called dB35 for the dBadge
noise dosimeter. The new dB35 software
version has been introduced to allow operation of the new 193200B USB
version of the infra red adaptor. The option to use either a standard RS232
or the new USB version of the adaptor is included in version 2.04 software.
The choice is available by selecting TOOLS and then OPTIONS from the main
menu. Then select the CEL-350 tab and check the "use USB adaptor" option on
that dialog page. The necessary software drivers are installed automatically
with the main installation of dB35 so it is not necessary to have any other
software cds when using the new 193200B adaptor. Note that driver
installation will still be required if the earlier CMC39 and CEL-90336 USB
to RS232 adaptor method is chosen.

complete dB35
installation CD at version 2.04 or you can download just the new dB35 files
here. A fast broadband
connection is strongly recommended since the size of the zipped file is over
6MB.

this file to your hard drive then use a program such as WinZip to unzip all
the files to a temporary location. The zipped file contains 2 files called
 | "setup.exe" - click this file to install and run the upgrade |
| "setup.msi" - the Windows Setup Installation File containing all the
necessary smaller CEL files needed to install this version |
Double click on the SETUP.EXE file
to install the program as usual. If you already have the dB35 database
program successfully installed on your computer you will need to use
Add/Remove Programs option in Windows to remove it first.
Your previously downloaded run database of results will not be
deleted, only the earlier version of the dB35 program. When you restart the new dB35
version 2.04 all you existing runs and structure will still be available.
If you install the new software to the same location as before then the
shortcut link will still point to the right location. You must already
have successfully installed dB35 from the initial CD supplied with your
CEL-350 kit to use this upgrade to the software. If you do not have a
current version of dB35 on your pc then you must contact the Casella Sales
office to obtain the full CD package. |
