Casella USA have recently announced the release of the
193200B USB infra red communications adaptor. This newly designed unit from
Casella CEL is a dedicated device that combines the benefits of infra red
wireless communications with the ease of USB connectivity.This new
adaptor is supplied as part of all standard dBadge
kits as from July 2008 in place of the earlier CMC39 unit and the separate
CEL-90336 adaptor.
The main benefit is that all of the necessary driver software is now
supplied with the main dB35 software program CD so no additional
installation is necessary by the user. This results in easier startup of the
dB35 software and quicker, more reliable downloads from the kit of dBadges.
Simply install dB35 version 2.04 or above and select the option to use
the USB adaptor in the TOOLS/OPTIONS menu and the CEL-350 tab. It will not
be necessary to select the communications port specifically as dB35 will
automatically find the 193200B adaptor on its own and use it whichever
physical USB socket it is connected to.
