Casella USA announce the forthcoming release of the
intrinsically safe version of the dBadge
noise dosimeter. The new model, currently with
ATEX approval number Sira 07ATEX2032X, is called the CEL-350IS and will be
available for first deliveries in North America at the end of May 2007.
All the positive features of the current dBadge are still available such as
the full 32 hour run time, the complete data logging of both Q5 and Q3
parameters and the 1 minute time history recordings.
There will be a new 3 station charger unit for both master and slave
units but otherwise all of the current accessories are compatible with both
versions of the CEL-350
dBadge. The existing non-IS
dBadge will continue to
be available alongside the new IS model for those applications where IS
approval is not required.
The new IS
dBadge model will be of particular interest to those users who need
to carry out noise dosimetry in hazardous locations such as petro-chemical
plants, printing factories, etc.
