A small bug has been reported in dB35 when trying to select
a serial port other than the default comm. 1. If another valid port is
chosen by the user for a session to interface with the
dBadges then dB35 does not remember the chosen port at the end of the
session and reverts back to the default comm. 1 the next time that
dB35 is started. The comm. port is normally changed in dB35 software by
selecting TOOLS | OPTIONS | CEL-350 Tab and then making the selection from
the Communications drop down list. The configuration file will normally
store this new setting for use next time that dB35 is started. In the
current version of db35 (1.1.2371.16966) some users have reported that the
new port number is not remembered and that dB35 always reverts to port 1.
A permanent fix for this is being incorporated into the next official
release of dB35 and will be announced very soon. As a short term fix it is
possible to manually change the required comm. port by editing the dB35
configuration file.
Full instructions are given to change the comm. port selection in the
configuration file on the After Sales
Support page.
