Inevitably with all new products there may still be a few
bugs in the system for the first few months. Alas, the dBadge shows that it
is virtually impossible to guarantee a completely bug free introduction
these days when you consider the complexity of most all modern products.
In our case it was a small problem with the software installation routine
that only appears on some computers and not others. Oh, the joy of the
modern pc! For some users when they go to start the dB35 database program
for the first time an error message greets them that it is unable to connect
to the installed server. A simple fix provided by the CEL software
department will soon put this problem to rights and has been posted on this
web site for anyone who might be unlucky enough to fall foul of the delights
of the modern operating system environment.
Future releases of the installation software that is normally supplied on
a CDROM will be able to test for the problem before trying to install the
dB35 software to make sure that it does not happen for new users.

enough to have it happen to you.
